Masseria Bosco Colombo is a prestigious and renovated farmhouse, ideal for relaxing and fun holidays in Puglia. The farmhouse, that dates back to the XVI century, is in the countryside of Mesagne, in the area of Brindisi.
Masseria Bosco Colombo is equipped with accessories such as swimming pool with solarium, barbecue, private surveillance, air conditioning, internet, washing machine, tumble-dryer, dishwasher, tv, hair-dryer, electric oven, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, pod coffee machine and baby cot upon request. It accommodates up to 12 guests. Pets are not allowed.

The garden of Masseria Bosco Colombo is characterized by simple lines, with a green lawn all around the swimming pool, where you can relax on comfortable beach beds.
In the spacious courtyard, paved with stones, you can spend lovely evenings, just like in the covered areas, furnished with armchairs. The rustic atmosphere makes your sense tingle, during the authentic holidays in Puglia.
The large glass walls introduce the living room with star-vaulted ceiling, the dining room, the sitting room with sofas and armchairs and the original fireplace which was finely renovated. There are many characteristic rooms.
The kitchen is modern and equipped with accessories such as electric oven, dishwasher, coffe machine. By the lviing room of Masseria Bosco Colombo there is a twin bedroom with bunk bed and ensuite bathroom.
In the left side of the property there is the sleeping area, that consists of an anteroom with sofa bed for 2 guests, 2 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom with shower and the staircase that takes to the first floor.
On the first floor there are an anteroom with sofa bed for 2 guests, 1 double bedroom and bathroom with shower. From the bedroom you have access to the two terraces of the Masseria, with a post-card like view.

The history of Masseria Bosco Colombo
Since it is such an important property, it is worth telling the history of the Masseria to let you fully experience the suggestive atmosphere.
The name Bosco Colombo derives from the presence of many fig grees, whose first fruits are named, in the local dialect, "culummi". There must have been many tasty fruit trees on the street.
The Masseria was already built in the XVI century. Many local researchers indicate that here, between 1633 and 1637, lived the poet Giovan Francesco Maia Materdona, son of the local nobles Pomponio Maia and Ippolita Materdona, author of many lyric poems all around Italy and Naples, where he was close to Gianbattista Marino.
The rich and industrious Masseria has been ownership of many noble lords during the centuries. From 1800 the complex has been in a decay state that led to the disappearance of secondary buildings at to the collapse of part of the tower, but the ancient well still exists.
And it was in such a state when it was bought from the actual ownerst, that fell in love with its history and renovated it. The infusion of this new lymph made it a prestigious accommodation facility, cozy and modern, with respect of the typical and original architecture.
The surroundings of Masseria Bosco Colombo
Masseria Bosco Colombo is in Mesagne, on a countryside street that was once enriched by many fig trees, whose first fruits are named "culumbi". The same "culumbi" which the property was named after.
In Mesagne there are commercial and tourist amenities, in addition to a worth visiting old town centre. Brindisi is close, 20 kilometers away. For the nature lovers, the reserve of Torre Guaceto with its beautiful beach and uncontaminated sea is 30 minutes` drive away.
